Centrally situated. Good security. Melaleca hotel a good backup for internet facilities etc.
Did not replace sheets everyday, as we stained a sheet and the same stain was there that afternoon after housekeeping had been
Clean, tidy and the location was fantastic.
Rooms were small but compact. Bathroom small - maybe replace shower curtain with glass door so water doesn't run...
Aplace to drop you belongings to adventure around Darwin and a place to crash when you needed to sleep.
A little noisy because of the club next door which shuts at 4am however the air con drowns out most of that noise. If you want hot water just run the basin tap for a bit and its all good.
no safe, no storage for luggage
The Location - it was in the centre of Darwin and close to all the main facilities.
The room smelled very musty (as if it was damp earlier in the day). The card key did not work properly. When we arrived the card swipe machine did not work at the after hours check in desk. The staff was very rude and unprofessional.
The hotel is located very central in the heart of Darwin. The employees of the Maleleuca Inn which is just next to the Value Inn who are in charge when the Value Inn reception is closed (6PM to 8AM) are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have airco and a fridge which is very good and absolutely needed in Darwin.
The employees at the Value Inn reception were not very friendly nor helpful. The room itself was not very clean. There were hair in the bathroom when we arrived and other dirt on the ground. This wasn't removed either during our three night stay. Apart from putting the blanket (not even straight) back on the bed, the room service didn't clean anything. The first night we paid 87 which was ok for the value you get. For the nights 2-4 we paid 115 per night which was far too much money for what you get in the hotel.
Central location with quiet pool area & great facilities (spas, pools, bar etc ) for younger people.
Some very noisy tenants & no sign of security during our stay.
Great location for entertainment, restaurants and transport.
Noisy, small rooms with few amenities and services.
Close proximity to the main street yet it was quiet in my room.
The room smelt very stale. Like of smelly socks.
Sorry. Two noisy. Backpsachers next door created load noise till 5am. close to shops.
Yes small rooms. to noisy. Air cons to noisy
The room smelt very bad - probably a legacy of having been a smoking room in the past. I had no comfortable place to work, there ws no remote fpr the TV and the airconditoner blew directly across the bed. At 8am the next morning, the gate to the car park was locked so I was froced to exit through the backpacker reception, and slipped and fell on the wet red-painted cement, necessitating a change of clothes.
Not a lot really. Sorry-not much else to say.
Noisy drunken youngsters up till all hours of the morning in the corridors of the hotel. Loud air con. Room very basic and could do with a lick of paint.
The room was very small and the facilites very basic. The bed was a board with a thin matress which was not partcicularly comfortable.
Electricity cut out automatically every 8 minutes. Motion activation to reboot did not work so effectively no electricity unless one open ed the front door and put the key in and out of the lock. No internal electricity lock. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Only sheets, no light doona.
